David holds a Master of Speech Language Pathology from the University of Sydney, where he was a Dean’s Scholar. David is a Practising Member of Speech Pathology Australia and a Certified Practising Speech Pathologist (CPSP). David is a part-time Associate Lecturer at the University of Technology Sydney’s Graduate School of Health. David sits on Speech Pathology Australia’s Ethics Board and Professional Standards Advisory Committee.
When we went to the art fair: Contemporary art as an irregular past tense verb workout!
My brother- and sister-in law are both talented artists. They made this:

Alas, I have not one artistic molecule in my body; and no knowledge of modern art. So, when I found myself milling about the Sydney Contemporary art fair last week, I did what any mystified speech pathologist would do and revised some key irregular past tense verbs.
Lots of my clients with developmental language disorders are good at art, so I thought they might enjoy mixing language therapy with contemporary art. Then I thought others might like to do it, too.
So, here are some of my favourites:
